Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) occurs when tiny particles called otoconia become dislodged from the balance organ of the inner ear (the vestibular system) and enter the semicircular canals. Otoconia are small crystals made of calcium carbonate, sometimes described as "ear stones." The main symptom is a spinning sensation that occurs with changes in head position. If you experience dizziness, please consult an ENT specialist.2026-06-26

Dizziness is a general term for a feeling that the surroundings are spinning or that it is hard to keep your balance. It may be caused by something simple, such as anemia or an ear problem, but it can also be a sign of a dangerous brain condition. Because the exact cause must be found and treated, please be sure to consult a medical specialist for an examination.2026-06-26

Meniere's disease is a condition in which excess endolymph builds up in the inner ear, raising the pressure and causing repeated episodes of dizziness, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a feeling of fullness in the ear. The inner ear is the innermost part of the ear and consists of the cochlea, which is responsible for hearing, and the vestibular organ, which is responsible for balance. If left untreated, hearing and vestibular function may worsen permanently. Please consult an otolaryngology (ENT) specialist.2026-06-26

Stroke
#stroke, #dementia, #vascular dementia, #high blood pressure, #snoring, #weakness in the arms or legs, #difficulty moving one side of the body
Stroke is a medical emergency that occurs when a blood vessel in the brain becomes blocked or ruptures. A blocked blood vessel is called a cerebral infarction, and a ruptured one is called a cerebral hemorrhage. If symptoms appear, going to the emergency room immediately is the most important way to reduce aftereffects. Stroke is also closely related to dementia. The main symptom of stroke is the loss of a specific bodily function, such as paralysis of the arms or legs. The most important factor in treatment is the golden time (the critical time window for treatment), so please be sure to consult a medical specialist for an accurate diagnosis. If abnormal symptoms appear, call 119 (Korea's emergency number) or go to the emergency room immediately.2026-06-26
